Zaporizhstal sees 0.4 percent rise in January-October crude steel output

In January-October this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 0.5 percent to 2.297 million mt, while its crude steel production rose by 0.4 percent to 2.742 million mt, both compared to January-October 2009.

Meanwhile, in the first ten months of this year, the plant saw a 0.2 percent year-on-year drop in its pig iron output to 2.27 million mt and a 0.3 percent year-on-year decrease in its agglomerate production to about four million mt.

In October, Zaporizhstal produced 252,000 mt of finished steel products - up 1.2 percent, 316,000 mt of crude steel - up nine percent, 242,000 mt of pig iron - up 7.6 percent, and 415,000 mt of agglomerate - up 1.2 percent, all compared to September this year.
