Turkish motor vehicle output up 19 percent in November

In November this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 150,681 units, rising by 19 percent year on year and up 3.3 percent month on month, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD). In the January-November period of this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 1,329,812 units, up eight percent year on year.
 
In November alone, passenger car output amounted to 104,737 units, increasing by 44 percent, while commercial vehicle output totaled 45,944 units, down 14 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In the first eleven months of this year, passenger car output totaled 843,925 units, up 18 percent, and commercial vehicle production amounted to 485,887 units, down six percent, both compared to the same period of 2015.
 
The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry was 104 percent in November this year, while the rate was 84 percent in the January-November period of the year.
