Toyota’s global vehicle output and sales decrease in Q1 2026

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that its global vehicle output increased by 2.1 percent year on year to 902,210 units in March this year. In particular, the company’s domestic output fell by 3.3 percent to 293,426 units, while its overseas output in the given month rose by 4.9 percent to 608,784 units, both year on year.

Toyota’s global vehicle sales amounted to 897,871 units in March, falling by 7.3 percent year on year.

In the January-March period this year, the company’s global vehicle output was down by 2.4 percent year on year to 2,386,980 units, while its global sales amounted to 2,456,859 units, decreasing by 2.4 percent on year-on-year basis.
