According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey advanced by 78.6 percent year on year to 68,069 units and were up by 29.8 percent on month-on-month basis.
New passenger car registrations in October totaled 43,393 units, increasing by 51 percent as compared to September and up by 134 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 63.7 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.
On the other hand, new small truck registrations in October rose by 53.8 percent month on month and were up 74.4 percent year on year, amounting to 7,462 units. Small truck registrations constituted 11 percent of total new registrations in October.
