According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased by 41.1 percent year on year to 128,088 units and were up by 33.9 percent on month-on-month basis.
New passenger car registrations in July totaled 75,174 units, rising by 28.5 percent as compared to June and up 37.6 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 58.7 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.
On the other hand, new small truck registrations in July increased by 71.6 percent month on month and were up 38 percent year on year, amounting to 20,398 units. Small truck registrations constituted 4.2 percent of total new registrations in July.
