According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased by 13.1 percent year on year to 110,743 units and were up by 28 percent on month-on-month basis.
New passenger car registrations in October totaled 65,113 units, rising by 42.6 percent as compared to September and up 9.5 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 58.8 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.
On the other hand, new small truck registrations in October increased by 46.9 percent month on month and were up 26 percent year on year, amounting to 19,126 units. Small truck registrations constituted 17.3 percent of total new registrations in October.
