New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey down 1.3% in Nov

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey decreased by 1.3 percent year on year to 109,319 units and were up by 15.5 percent on month-on-month basis.

New passenger car registrations in November totaled 69,181 units, rising by 6.24 percent as compared to October and down 22.02 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 63.3 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.

On the other hand, new small truck registrations in November decreased by 1.5 percent month on month and were up 1.9 percent year on year, amounting to 18,845 units. Small truck registrations constituted 17.2 percent of total new registrations in November.
