Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has extended for five more years the existing countervailing duties applied to imports of longitudinal welded carbon steel pipes from the UK.
SE explained the five-year extension to the existing duties is effective retroactively from January 6, 2015. The Mexican government said the 5.91 percent tariff for the imports of the product will be maintained in the period.
SE’s decision followed a request by local producer Tubacero.
