The reference price for the export of rebars by Brazilian producers is $880/mt, CFR conditions for the CA-50 grade, against $860/mt four weeks ago, for sales to South American countries.
In December, Brazil exported 19,600 mt and imported 2,700 mt of rebars, against respectively 46,600 mt and 5,800 mt in November, according to SECEX.
The exports of December were all destined to South America, at an average FOB price of $619/mt, shipped by Gerdau (17,200 mt) and ArcelorMittal (2,400 mt).
The imports were from Russia (2,500 mt at $483/mt), Germany (100 mt at $1,718/mt), and China (100 mt at $644/mt).
