SteelOrbis has learned that the average spot market price for US domestic plate is now trending at $69-$70 cwt. ($1,521-$1,543/mt or $1,380-$1,400/nt), FOB mill, against $71-$73 cwt. ($1,565-$1,587/mt or $1,420-$1,440/nt), FOB mill, on October 12. Sources have confirmed that some mills are offering deals slightly below this range based on volume.
