SteelOrbis has learned that US domestic plate prices have continued to inch upward. Current prices are hovering at approximately $35 cwt. ($772/mt or $700/nt), ex-mill, against a range of $33-$34 cwt. ($728-$750/mt or $660-$680/nt), ex-mill, a week ago. The uptick, sources note, is linked to two factors: extending lead times and mills’ recent price increase announcements.
