US plate prices steady, but flexible

SteelOrbis sources have confirmed that US domestic plate prices continue to trend in an average range of $30-$31 cwt. ($661-$683/mt or $600-$620/nt), ex-mill, but deals are becomming increasingly available. Texas-based sources have also lamented over falling oil prices, as Texas-based plate distributors often provide steel for offshore drilling structures.
