US plate prices hold firm

US domestic plate prices are still being heard in the range of $27-$29 cwt. ($595-$639/mt or $540-$580/mt), ex-mill. However, sources close to SteelOrbis report that mills continue to quote closer to $30 cwt. ($661/mt or $600/nt), although buyers are “pushing back” at offers at the higher price point.
