SteelOrbis sources have reported that spot market prices for US domestic plate have remained in the range of $26.50-$27.00 cwt. ($584-$595/mt or $530-$540/nt), ex-mill, which is consistent with what was reported at the end of last week. Sources also still report that at least one mill is quoting $27.25 cwt. ($601/mt or $545/nt), delivered into Houston. The overall state of the market, another source said, is "ugly at best."
