US domestic plate prices up 93.6% since January 1

SteelOrbis has learned that the US domestic plate spot market price range is trending at $89-$91 cwt. ($1,962-$2,006/mt or $1,780-$1,820/nt), FOB mill.  This week’s prices are roughly 93.6% higher than they were during the first week of 2021, when prices were heard at $47 cwt. ($1,036/mt or $940/nt), FOB mill.
