WISCO’s crude steel output reaches 37.68 million mt in 2011

Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Co. (WISCO) has announced that in 2011 it produced 35.61 million mt of pig iron, 37.68 million mt of crude steel and 37.45 million mt of finished steel, up by 3.31 percent, 3.12 percent and 3.99 percent year on year, respectively. 

WISCO's sales revenue and net profit in 2011 totaled RMB 210 billion ($33.3 billion) and RMB 3.5 billion ($556 million), respectively, up 14.3 percent and 17.4 percent year on year.
