According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of plates in coil totaled 44,713 mt in February this year, up 15.4 percent month on month and up 82.4 percent year on year. By value, exports of plates in coil totaled $49.38 million in February this year, compared to $42.95 million in the previous month and $25.63 million the same month of 2025.
The US shipped the most plates in coil to Mexico in February this year with 38,559 mt, compared to 29,412 mt in January and 15,495 mt in February 2025. The other top destination was Canada with 5,863 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US exports of plates in coil in February.
