According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of plates in coil totaled 41,797 mt in March this year, down 6.5 percent month on month and up 58.4 percent year on year. By value, exports of plates in coil totaled $45.09 million in March this year, compared to $49.38 million in the previous month and $29.19 million the same month of 2025.
The US shipped the most plates in coil to Mexico in March this year with 34,884 mt, compared to 38,559 mt in February and 18,011 mt in March 2025. The other top destination was Canada with 6,243 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US exports of plates in coil in March.
