The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of the sunset review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on certain cut-to-length carbon-quality steel plate from India, Indonesia and South Korea.

The DOC found that revocation of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on the given product from the countries would be likely to lead to a continuation or recurrence of subsidies.

The final subsidy rates are at 12.82 percent for India’s Steel Authority of India and other Indian companies, 47.71 percent for Indonesia’s P.T. Krakatau Steel, 15.90 percent for all other Indonesian companies, 2.02 percent for South Korea’s Dongkuk Steel Mill, Ltd and 1.99 percent for all other South Korean companies.

The countervailing duties for the country are applicable from June 9.
