The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced that it has amended the order and the final determination regarding its antidumping investigation on imports of circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on the grounds that the final determination was not in harmony with the United States Court of International Trade (CIT).
Accordingly, the DOC has determined new dumping margins of 0.57 percent for Ajmal Steel Tubes & Pipes.
In October 2021, the DOC announced its final determination in the antidumping investigation covering the period between December 1, 2018 and November 30, 2019, determining a dumping margin of 54.27 percent for the company. After Ajmal Steel appealed the decision, the CIT remanded the DOC’s decision and requested the DOC to recalculate the dumping margin.
