In February this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 65,745 metric tons, up by 38 percent compared to January and by 75.7 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $38.45 million, increasing by 40.2 percent compared to the previous month and by 75.2 percent year on year.
In the January-February period, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 103,161 mt, up 0.3 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 1.5 percent to $60.39 million, both year on year.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest wire rod export destination was Romania which received 39,462 mt, down 5.9 percent year on year. Romania was followed by Australia with 19,161 mt, up 130.8 percent, and Bosnia- Herzegovina with 7,450 mt.
