Turkey’s wire rod exports down 59 percent in January-July

In July this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 50,693 mt, up by 17.8 percent compared to June and down by 55.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $32.30 million, increasing by 11.3 percent compared to the previous month and dropping by 64.4 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 289,410 mt, down 59.0 percent compared to the same period of last year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $200.39 million, falling by 66.5 percent year on year.
