Turkey’s wire rod exports down 57.4 percent in January-August

In August this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 73,190 mt, up by 44.2 percent compared to July and down by 49.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $44.48 million, increasing by 37.6 percent compared to the previous month and dropping by 56.4 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-August period of this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 362,618 mt, down 57.4 percent compared to the same period of last year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $244.90 million, falling by 65.1 percent year on year.
