Turkey’s wire rod exports down 4.3 percent in January

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 4.3 percent year on year to 142,378 metric tons, down 15.6 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $79.80 million, down 13.5 percent month on month and up 22.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 47,757 metric tons. Israel was followed by Netherlands with 25,098 metric tons and Singapore with 21,000 metric tons.
