In May this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 39,532 metric tons, up by 48.3 percent compared to April and down by 62.6 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $26.94 million, increasing by 36.6 percent compared to April and dropping by 73.0 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January-May period of this year, Turkey’s wire rod exports amounted to 195,436 metric tons, down 61.0 percent compared to the same period of the last year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $138.89 million, falling by 67.5 percent year on year.
