Turkey’s basic metal output up 2.3 percent in May from Apr

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey’s season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was down by 0.2 percent compared to May 2022.

In the given month, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey moved down by 9.5 percent year on year and increased by 2.3 percent month on month.  

The index for the production of fabricated metal products in April increased by 15.1 percent year on year and decreased by 2.4 percent month on month.
