According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production decreased by 1.6 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was up 6.4 percent compared to May 2017.
In May, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey increased by 1.1 percent month on month and was up 3.5 percent year on year.
The index for the production of fabricated metal products in the given month fell by 2.7 percent month on month and was up 4.3 percent year on year.
