According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production decreased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was up 1.7 percent compared to August 2017.
In August, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey decreased by 2.1 percent month on month and was down two percent year on year.
The index for the production of fabricated metal products in the given month declined by 1.5 percent month on month and fell by 5.6 percent year on year.
