Thailand to end safeguard measure on non-alloy HR flat products

Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce has notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) that it has decided to end the safeguard measure on non-alloy hot rolled steel flat products in coils and not in coils with a thickness of 0.9-50.0 mm and a width of 600.0-3,048 mm. The safeguard measure is expected to end on June 7, 2020.

Thailand determined that the imports of the product concerned declined significantly both in volume and in value and that no serious injury or threat thereof has been found.

The definitive safeguard measure was introduced on January 15, 2015.
