According to the statistics released by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, in December last year Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.05 billion, decreasing by 4.5 percent compared to December 2023 and up by 5.4 percent compared to the previous month. In November, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product export orders had recorded an 8.8 decrease month on month.
In 2024, the country’s basic metal and basic metal product export orders rose by 0.3 percent year on year to $25.17 billion.
