Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 8.3 percent in 2025

According to the statistics released by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, in December 2025 Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2 billion, decreasing by 2.5 percent compared to December 2024 and up by 3.3 percent compared to the previous month. In November, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product export orders had recorded a 0.9 increase month on month.

In 2025, the country’s basic metal and basic metal product export orders decreased by 8.3 percent year on year to $23.09 billion.
