Severstal to increase output at Cherepovets plate mill

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will upgrade the plate mill of the Russian steelmaker Severstal at its Cherepovets plant to improve plate surface quality and increase production volume.

The modernization is expected to be completed in spring 2021.

Cherepovets still mill has an annual steel production capacity of 11.6 million mt.
