Severstal increases steel supplies to construction companies in first half

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that its Cherepovets steel mill increased its steel supplies to building contractors in Russia to 1,635,000 mt in the first half of 2013, up 17 percent compared to the same period of 2012.

Severstal registered increases of 42 percent, 17 percent, 30 percent and 18 percent in long steel, cold rolled product, pre-coated steel product, and pipe and rolled product supplies, all year on year.

In the first half of 2013 Severstal Invest's trading network, part of Severstal Russian Steel division's distribution channel, sold 45,000 mt of steel products from the Cherepovets steel mill to construction companies.
