SAIL sees one percent rise in crude steel output in H1 FY 2026-27

Indian government-run steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) achieved crude steel production of 9.6 million mt during the first half (April-September) of the fiscal year 2026-27, a marginal rise of one percent year on year, according to a company statement on Tuesday, October 6.

The company's finished steel output was reported at 8.39 million mt during the period, also showing a marginal rise of one percent.

SAIL's total installed capacity is around 20 million mt per year.
