Russia-based Volgograd Steel Works (Krasny Oktyabr) has announced that it is carrying out the reconstruction of its mill-2000 into a mill-3000. The upgrade will allow the production of sheet of more than 2 meters in width and of up to 11 mt in weight.
The company will also resume production of cold rolled plates at the same production subdivision after the reconstruction of its mill-1600 which is currently being carried out. After the completion of the reconstruction work, it will be possible to roll plates of thicknesses up to 0.8 mm.
