Finnish steelmaker Rautaruukki (Ruukki) has announced the acquisition of the entire share capital of the Lithuanian steel frame producer Gensina from the company's private owners.

The acquisition is in line with Ruukki's frame and envelope project management business in Lithuania and in the other Baltic states, and will allow the company to strengthen its manufacturing network, serving the Baltic states.

Gensina is specialized in the production and assembly of steel frames for the construction companies in Lithuania and for international and local investors. The company's net sales in 2007 amounted to around €9 million.

The financial details have not been disclosed.
