Peruvian rebar sales rise in September

Peruvian rebar sales in September rose 27.1 percent, year-on-year, to 137,617 mt, according to data from the nation’s statistics agency, INEI.

Local rebar sales in September improved 4.76 percent, month-on-month, compared to August.

Peruvian rebar sales were on an increasing trend since June this year, when sales volumes reached 86,930 mt. Then, rebar sales rose to 87,040 mt in July, and to 131,362 mt in August this year.

As for the accumulated period of January to September this year, Peruvian rebar sales reached 999,738 mt, 3.3 percent up, year-on-year.
