Peruvian rebar sales decline in May

Peruvian rebar sales in May dropped nearly 20 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency, INEI. Government data indicated local rebar sales in May reached 106,442 mt, down from 131,493 mt in the same month of the year prior.

INEI said Peruvian rebar sales declined 2.7 percent in May when compared to 109,438 mt in April this year. Peruvian rebar sales in the accumulated period of January to May 2018 was 541,003 mt, 3 percent down, year-on-year.
