Peruvian longs steelmaker Aceros Arequipa has received the ISO 9001 and the ISO 14001 certifications for quality and environmental management, a media report said.

The ISO 9001 certification sets out the criteria for a quality management system. Likewise, the ISO 140001 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance, according to information from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Additionally, the steelmaker was also awarded the OHSAS 18001 certification, which helps companies to control and reduce risks related to health and safety within their workplace.
