The Peruvian iron ore producer Shougang Hierro Peru (SHP) has posted a net profit equivalent to $212.784 million for the first half of 2026, 67.8 percent more than in the same period of 2025.

Net sales increased by 62.2 percent to $753.344 million, production costs increased by 79.5 percent to $468.960 million, the gross profit increased by 40 percent to $284.393 million, and the operational profit increased by 50.9 percent to $236.135 million.

During this period, the company sold 9.739 million mt of iron ore, against 5.856 million mt in the first half of 2025, a sharp increase reflecting the lower production last year, affected by an accident with the ship loader, which reduced shipments at the San Nicolas marine terminal.

Shougang publishes its results in Peruvian Soles (PEN), converted here at PEN 3.39 to the US Dollar.
