Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports down 0.48% in Jan from Dec

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 417,964 mt in January this year, decreasing by 0.48 percent compared to December and by 21.94 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in January was $130.3 million, decreasing by 0.14 percent month on month and by 16.36 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in January amounted to 260,325 mt, down 25.5 percent on year-on-year basis and rising by 6.78 percent compared to the previous month. In January this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $196.24 million, falling by 9.55 percent year on year and up by 25.18 percent month on month.
