Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has extended existing anti-dumping (AD) duties against imports of Chinese seamless pipe imports for a further five-year period, following a recent sunset review. SE said on Friday Chinese exporters will continue paying a $1,568.92/mt AD duty.

The five-year period count began January 8, 2019, SE said, and duties cover products under the following HS codes: 7304.19.01, 7304.19.04, 7304.19.99, 7304.31.01, 7304.31.10, 7304.31.99, 7304.39.01, 7304.39.05 and 7304.39.99.

Mexico’s decision to extend the existing AD duties follow a request from domestic pipe producer Tubos de Acero de Mexico (TAMSA) on October 10, 2018.
