Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, said on Thursday it has imposed provisional antidumping duty (AD) over the imports of seamless carbon steel pipes from South Korea, Spain, India and Ukraine, at the same time it will continue ongoing investigations.

Mexican government said it imposed a $130.10/mt tariff for the imports of tubes coming from Iljin as well as from other South Korean exporters.

Spanish exporters, including Tubos Industrial, will pay a $378.54/mt tariff, while Indian and Ukrainian exporters will pay tariffs of $206.70/mt and $170.11/mt, respectively.

SE said the interested exporters have 20 days to issue their comments.

The products currently subject to the provisional AD fall under the following HTS codes: 7304.19.01, 7304.19.02, 7304.19.99, 7304.39.05, 7304.39.06 and 7304.39.99.

SE’s provisional AD follow a request from Mexican producer Tamsa, filed on August 15, 2016.
