Mexico’s economy secretariat (SE) commenced a sunset review over existing anti-dumping (AD) duties imposed for Chinese seamless pipe imports, following a request on October 10 from local producer Tubos de Acero de Mexico (TAMSA), the Mexican government said on Wednesday.

Mexico’s SE said the products subject to the sunset review fall under HTS codes 7304.19.01, 7304.19.04, 7304.19.99, 7304.31.01, 7304.31.10, 7304.31.99, 7304.39.01, 7304.39.05 and 7304.39.99.

SE said the period of review starts on October 1, 2017, and ends on September 30, 2018, while the period of analysis begins on October 1, 2013, and ends on September 30, 2018.

SE said existing AD duties of $1,568.92/mt over the Chinese imports of the product, including pipes with an external nominal diameter equal or greater than 60.3mm and smaller than 114.3mm, will still apply as the sunset review continues.
