According to the data released by the Japan Ship Exporters’ Association (JSEA), Japanese new ship export orders in January this year moved down by 44.5 percent on tonnage basis compared to the previous month, decreasing to nine carriers, compared to 19 ships recorded in December, totaling 506,640 gross tons.
On the other hand, in January, Japan delivered 20 ships for export, totaling 960,089 gross tons, compared to 15 ships totaling 547,304 gross tons recorded in December.
