Italian steel production continues to decline in February

According to the latest updated data released by Federacciai, the Italian steel producers' association, the volumes of crude steel produced in Italy decreased by 7.3 percent year on year in February this year to 1,896 million metric tons.

Taking into consideration the long and flat product segments, volumes produced in February amounted to 1,118 million metric tons and 805,000 metric tons, respectively. Longs production decreased by 7.1 percent year on year and flats production by 10.7 percent.
