India's Welspun Corp has secured an order worth $1.8 billion for supply of pipes from its manufacturing facility in the US, according to a company regulatory filing on Friday, August 16.
The order for supply of pipes will be executed over the fiscal years 2027-28 and 2028-29, and takes Welspun Corp's total order book position to $4.4 billion, the highest in the company's history, it said in the filing.
The order is the largest-ever awarded to the company and strengthens its position in the North American energy infrastructure market, where Welspun has been expanding its manufacturing capacity and customer relationships, it said.
The company operates manufacturing facilities in India, the US and Saudi Arabia and supplies customers across more than 50 countries and six continents.

It manufactures large-diameter welded line pipes (LSAW, HSAW, HFW/HFIW) primarily used in the oil, gas, and water transmission sectors. It also produces DI pipes and pig iron from its greenfield manufacturing complex in Anjar, Gujarat, targeting water infrastructure facilities.
