Hansteel becomes supplier of HR pipeline steel to Sinopec

Hebei Province-based Chinese company Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) has announced that its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) has become a supplier of hot rolled pipeline steel to Chinese oil and gas company Sinopec, and has been approved as a supplier for Sinopec’s coal gas transportation pipeline project in the Xinjiang region. 

Currently, Hansteel is able to produce X45, X60, X70 and X80 pipeline steels in thicknesses from 5 mm to 22 mm, with its products being widely used in China’s West-East Gas Pipeline project and also being exported to overseas markets.
