According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in 2022 France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €13.08 billion, increasing by 27.3 percent year on year.
In the given year, France imported €2.37 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 12.2 percent, €632.02 million of cold rolled steel bars - increasing by 40.4 percent, €1.11 billion of cold rolled steel strip - rising by 19.9 percent, €715.96 million of cold drawn wire - advancing by 32.8 percent, and €2.76 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 2.1 percent, all compared to 2021.
