According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in January this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €751.95 million, increasing by 24.0 percent year on year.
In the given month, France imported €175.07 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 4.8 percent, €37.2 million of cold rolled steel bars - decreasing by 12.5 percent, €48.78 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 16.1 percent, €36.15 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 11.7 percent, and €191.2 million of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 11.3 percent, all compared to the same month of last year.
